 Clarendon is 0-3 against Des Arc since March of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit  on Tuesday. The Clarendon Lions will head out on the road to  challenge  the Des Arc Eagles at 4:30  p.m.
 Clarendon was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight  loss. They fell victim to a  tough 19-0 defeat at the hands of Bradford.
 Meanwhile, Des Arc waltzed into their game  on Monday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They put the hurt on the Lions with a sharp  11-1 victory. Considering Des Arc has won eight matches by more than five  runs this season, Monday's  blowout was nothing new.
  Kaylee McDonald was a major factor no matter where she played. She  didn't allow a single  earned run while striking out 12 over five innings pitched. McDonald has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't  tossed less than six  strikeouts in 16 consecutive pitching appearances. McDonald was also stellar in the batter's box,  firing off two  home runs and five  RBI while going 2-for-3.
 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Grace Knight, who  scored a  run while going 2-for-3.  Makenzie Williams was another key contributor,  scoring four  runs while going 1-for-3.
 Clarendon's loss dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Des Arc, they have  been performing  incredibly well recently as they've  won six of their last seven matchups,  which provided a nice bump to their 15-4 record  this season.
 Clarendon suffered a grim  15-1 defeat to Des Arc  when the teams last played  back in April of 2018. Can Clarendon avenge their  defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
