Basketball Recap: Fowler Skates Past Kings Christian with Ease

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Mt. Whitney, Fowler was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They really took it to the Kings Christian Crusaders for the full four quarters, racking up a 62-19 victory. The Redcats have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight games by 22 points or more this season.

It was another big night for Danika Serrano, who almost dropped a double-double with 16 points and nine assists. Serrano is also crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Reena Bhinder was another key player, going 8-for-16 on her way to 16 points and seven boards.

Fowler smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 20 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 11 offensive boards in six consecutive matchups.

Fowler pushed their record up to 9-1 with the win, which was their third straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 16.0 points on average over those games. As for Kings Christian, they are on an eight-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.

Coming up, Fowler will be home for the holidays to greet Avenal at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Buccaneers' defense has only allowed 29.4 points per game this season, so the Redcats' offense will have their work cut out for them. Kings Christian will be paying especially close attention to Fowler's contest: after Fowler faces off against Firebaugh, they'll take on Kings Christian again at 5:45 p.m. on January 8, 2026.
