Soccer Recap: St. Mary's Prep Comes Up Short

St. Mary's Prep was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 2-0 to the Notre Dame Prep Fighting Irish. While losing is never fun, St. Mary's Prep can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan soccer rankings (they are ranked 115th, while Notre Dame Prep are ranked 21st).

St. Mary's Prep's loss dropped their record down to 4-7-3. As for Notre Dame Prep, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 14-1-4.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. St. Mary's Prep will host Avondale at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Notre Dame Prep, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Hazel Park on Wednesday.
