Basketball Recap: Wings Academy Wings vs. Truman Mustangs
It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Wings Academy had no problem doing just that on Tuesday. They took down the Truman Mustangs 64-50. The Wings haven't had any issues with the Mustangs recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Wings Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Rushawn Greene, who went 7 for 15 to rack up 15 points in addition to eight assists and six rebounds. Greene's evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Deshawn Carnegie Jr, who went 6 of 12 on his way to 16 points and seven boards.
Wings Academy now has a winning record of 12-11. As for Truman, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 10-6.
Looking ahead, Wings Academy will venture away from home to challenge Eagle Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Eagle Academy knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past 16 matches -- so hopefully Wings Academy likes a good challenge. As for Truman, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Cardinal Spellman at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
