Basketball Game Preview: Maryvale Prep vs. SEED

Maryvale Prep will be taking part in a tournament against SEED at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.

Last Friday, Maryvale Prep came up short against Severn School and fell 54-43. The loss was Maryvale Prep's first of the season.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask SEED). Couldn't have asked for a better way to wrap up 2024 than the 55-12 stomp they got against Central. The win made it back-to-back victories for SEED.

Maryvale Prep better focus on containing Kahmani Gaither and Morgan Jackson as the pair were huge in SEED's win. Gaither posted 24 points, while Jackson earned 23 points and seven rebounds. With that strong performance, Jackson is now averaging an impressive 16 points per game.

Having lost for the first time this season, Maryvale Prep fell to 2-1. As for SEED, their victory bumped their record up to 2-3.
