Recap: Water Canyon Wildcats vs. South Sevier Rams
The Water Canyon Wildcats's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their third straight loss. They were outmatched by South Sevier at home and fell 75-45. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat Water Canyon has suffered since December 6, 2023.
When it comes to explaining why Water Canyon lost, one person who can't be blamed is Aaron Barlow. Despite the final result, he scored 19 points. Another player making a difference was Dynonte Blackmore, who scored eight points along with five rebounds.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead South Sevier to victory, but perhaps none more so than Stockton Roberts, who scored 15 points. Peyton Ingram was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with five rebounds and four steals.
Water Canyon dropped their record down to 3-7 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight at home. As for South Sevier, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 14-5.
Water Canyon will head out on the road to face off against Beaver at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for South Sevier, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Millard at 7:00 p.m. Millard comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
