Baseball Game Preview: Lewiston-Porter Lancers vs. Kenmore East Bulldogs

The Lewiston-Porter Lancers are taking a road trip to square off against the Kenmore East Bulldogs at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Lewiston-Porter will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each matchup than the last.

Lewiston-Porter took a loss when they played away from home on Wednesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Saturday. They came out on top against Lockport by a score of 8-3. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Lancers as it put an end to their five-game losing streak.

Jackson Rodriguez made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he pitched three innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. Rodriguez was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

In other batting news, Lewiston-Porter got a massive performance out of Charlie Jorgensen, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run. Another player making a difference was Brayden Anderson, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with three runs.

Meanwhile, Kenmore East had just enough and edged out North Tonawanda 3-1 on Friday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Bulldogs.

Brock Israel spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on three hits.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Evan Adair, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one double and one RBI.

Lewiston-Porter's record is now 2-7. As for Kenmore East, their record now sits at 7-5.

Lewiston-Porter couldn't quite finish off Kenmore East in their previous meeting back in April and fell 4-2. Can the Lancers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
