Jenkins took a ten-run loss the last time they faced off against Knott County Central, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Cavaliers sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 6-5 win over the Patriots on Tuesday. For the Cavaliers, this counts as revenge for the 14-4 victory the Patriots walked away with the last time they faced one another back in April of 2024.

The win made it two in a row for Jenkins and bumps their season record up to 9-2. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 7 runs in those games. As for Knott County Central, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-9.

Jenkins has already played their next matchup, a 20-0 win against Cordia on the 16th. As for Knott County Central, they will face off against Hazard at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
