Mellen had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 28.5 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Washburn Castle Guards with a sharp 54-32 victory. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 68-48 back in December of 2024.

Mellen has also been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 13-2 record this season. As for Washburn, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-7.
