Volleyball Recap: Timothy Christian Finds Playoff Glory Versus Hancock

It's playoff time, and Timothy Christian had no trouble coming through when it counted. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Hancock Eagles on Saturday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Trojans.

Nate Horne was the offensive standout of the game as he had 14 digs and two aces. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in assists (two).

Horne wasn't the only good server: Timothy Christian was lethal from the service line and finished the game with ten aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in five consecutive matchups.

Timothy Christian's victory bumped their record up to 22-13. As for Hancock, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 17-7.

Coming up, Timothy Christian will take on Sandburg at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Eagles will roll in looking for their seventh straight win, something the Trojans surely won't give up without a fight. Hancock does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
