Soccer Recap: Asheboro Takes a Loss

Despite a strong season so far, Asheboro has seen their luck take a bit of a downturn recently. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Sun Valley Spartans. That's two games in a row now that Asheboro have lost by just one goal.

Their goal came courtesy of Jaira Arellano, who's now up to 13 this season.

Asheboro suffered their first road loss, dropping their record down to 6-3. As for Sun Valley, their victory bumped their record up to 6-2-2.

Asheboro wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next match, an 8-0 defeat against Oak Grove on the 1st. As for Sun Valley, they have also already played their next game, a 6-1 win against Parkwood on the 28th.
