Soccer Game Preview: North Fort Myers vs. Mariner

North Fort Myers is 0-9-1 against Mariner since January of 2018 but things could change on Friday. The North Fort Myers Red Knights will head out on the road to challenge the Mariner Tritons at 7:30 p.m. North Fort Myers' last three contests have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Last Wednesday, North Fort Myers didn't have quite enough to beat Gulf Coast and fell 2-1.

Meanwhile, Mariner put another one in the bag on Wednesday to keep their perfect season alive. They were the clear victor by a 5-1 margin over Palmetto Ridge. The Tritons might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six games by three goals or more this season.

Their offense was hitting Palmetto Ridge from everywhere, as five different players booted in a goal.

Mariner's victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-0. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 35 goals over those six matches. As for North Fort Myers, their loss dropped their record down to 2-8-1.
