Recap: El Primero Lobos vs. DCP Alum Rock Lobos
The El Primero Lobos's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their sixth straight loss. They took a 54-48 hit to the loss column at the hands of DCP Alum Rock. El Primero was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as DCP Alum Rock apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February of 2023.
El Primero's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was JOSH CHAVEZ, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and ten rebounds. CHAVEZ hasn't dropped below two steals for ten straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of KEVIN CHIQUETE, who scored 17 points.
El Primero has been struggling recently, as they've lost seven of their last eight matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-13 record this season. As for DCP Alum Rock, they pushed their record up to 8-7 with that victory, which was their seventh straight at home.
El Primero will take on East Palo Alto Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for DCP Alum Rock, they will head out on the road to challenge Mountain View Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
