Briggs entered their tilt with South on Wednesday with eight consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with nine. They were the clear victors by a 23-1 margin over the Bulldogs. That's more bragging rights for the Bruins, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Briggs pushed their record up to 10-2 with the win, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 19.8 runs over those games. As for South, they are on a seven-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Looking ahead, Briggs will venture away from home to challenge Franklin Heights at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. The Falcons have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 15.3 runs per game on average), something the Bruins will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for South, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Linden-McKinley at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
