Volleyball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Jerstyn Payne and Sierra Nye Lead Morgan to Victory

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Morgan walked away with it. Everything went their way against the Ogden Tigers on Monday as they made off with a 3-0 victory. The win continues a trend for the Trojans in their matchups with the Tigers: they've now won four in a row.

Morgan was led to victory by Sierra Nye and Jerstyn Payne. Nye had 23 digs and one assist, while Payne had 14 digs and two aces. Those 23 digs gave Nye a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Kate Brewer, who had 19 assists and three digs.

Morgan's victory bumped their record up to 24-5. As for Ogden, their loss dropped their record down to 16-13.

Morgan has already played their next matchup, a 3-1 win against Canyon View on the 28th. As for Ogden, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-1 victory against Richfield on the 28th.
