Football Game Preview: Miller Place Panthers vs. Bayport-Blue Point Phantoms

Miller Place is 2-7 against Bayport-Blue Point since October of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Panthers will host the Phantoms at 6:00 p.m. One thing working in Miller Place's favor is that they have posted at least 31 points in their last four contests.

Miller Place is likely headed into the game with a focus on the second half, which is when things went downhill against Babylon on Friday. Miller Place was just a hair shy of victory and fell 49-48 to Babylon. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Friday (32), Miller Place still had to take the loss.

Meanwhile, Bayport-Blue Point made easy work of John Glenn on Friday and carried off a 27-7 win. The Phantoms might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six matchups by 20 points or more this season.

Miller Place's loss dropped their record down to 6-2. As for Bayport-Blue Point, their victory bumped their record up to 6-1.

Miller Place was taken down by Bayport-Blue Point 49-21 in their previous meeting back in November of 2024. Thankfully for the Panthers, Cooper Fuller (who rushed for 247 yards and five touchdowns while picking up 9.5 yards per carry) won't be suiting up this time.
