Volleyball Recap: Buckeye Local Panthers vs. River Pilots
Buckeye Local was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They came up short against the River Pilots, falling 3-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Panthers of the 3-2 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2023.
After all that action, the final score was 25-9, 25-14, 25-15.
River found their leader in underclassman Aubrey Fetty, who had 14 digs and two aces. Fetty is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in the last 20 games she's played dating back to last season.
Buckeye Local's loss dropped their record down to 1-8. As for River, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 10-4.
Coincidentally, both will both be playing Caldwell the next time they take the court. Buckeye Local will head out to face Caldwell at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, while River will host them at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
