Softball Recap: Dunbar Takes a Loss

Dunbar fought the good fight in their extra-innings contest against Lehigh on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Lehigh Lightning by a score of 28-26. The Tigers haven't had much luck with the Lightning recently, as the team has come up short the last nine times they've met.

Arianna Corgelas was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring four runs and stealing Seven bases. while getting on base in five of her six plate appearances. Diana Cano-Mendez was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing Seven bases. while getting on base in three of her seven plate appearances.

Even though they lost, Dunbar always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .642. The last time their OBP was this high was back in April of 2024.

Dunbar's loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Lehigh, their win bumped their record up to 3-4.
