REID MACON was his usual excellent self, throwing for 264 yards and three TDs. That's the most passing yards he has posted since back in September. West Plains' leading receiver KADEN HOOKER was MACON's top target yet again, picking up 81 receiving yards and a pair of scores.
West Plains didn't let much get past them through the air: they limited Canyon to a completion percentage of just 50%. That dominant aerial defense primarily came from three players: HOOKER, LAWSON BETANCOURT, and BRYCEN WILLIAMS, who each logged one passes deflected. West Plains wasn't nearly as limited: they posted one of 65.4%.
West Plains' defense didn't let Brox Hacker, get away unscathed either: they got into the backfield for four sacks. WILLIAMS was particularly dangerous to the passing game, picking up two himself. West Plains got some further help from KYLAN AKINS: he picked up a sack and made seven total tackles (3.0 for loss).
Meanwhile, you're bound to get a positive result if you outscore your opponent every quarter and that's exactly how it played out for Stephenville on Friday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that they blew Randall out of the water with a 51-6 final score. The Yellow Jackets/Honeybees pushed the score to 44-0 by the end of the third, a deficit the Raiders had no chance of recovering from.
Stephenville didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Braxton Champion and Cash Kribbs.

Friday's contest might be decided on the ground. West Plains has been unstoppable on the ground this season, having averaged 309.4 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Stephenville struggles in that department as they've been averaging 202.4 rushing yards. There's a good chance Friday's matchup turns into a tough fight on the ground.
West Plains was able to grind out a solid victory over Stephenville in their previous matchup back in December of 2024, winning 42-35. Will the Wolves repeat their success, or do the Yellow Jackets/Honeybees have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
