Volleyball Recap: Palmetto Ridge Falls Despite Big Games from Cailee Kerr and Ava Azcuy + How To Watch

Palmetto Ridge lost against Estero back in September of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Bears came up short against the Wildcats, falling 3-0.

Palmetto Ridge was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Estero work for it, especially in the second set. The final score came out to 25-15, 27-25, 25-21.

Palmetto Ridge's loss came despite strong showings from Ava Azcuy and Cailee Kerr. Azcuy had 15 digs and three aces, while Kerr had 16 digs. Azcuy is crushing it when it comes to digs: she's had at least 15 every time she's taken the court this season.

Palmetto Ridge's defeat ended a three-match streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-8. As for Estero, they pushed their record up to 13-3 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Palmetto Ridge will head out to take on Lely at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Estero, they will venture away from home to face off against Neumann at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
