Football Recap: Evans Takes Loss Despite Strong Performances from Tripp Furgeison and Christian Scott

Evans was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against the Glynn Academy Terrors, falling 40-17. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Knights of the 28-24 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in November of 2024.

Christian Scott and Tripp Furgeison certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss. Scott picked up 95 receiving yards and one TD, while Furgeison threw for 105 yards and one touchdown on only nine passes. Scott's longest reception was for an impressive 57 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per catch total.

Evans' defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Glynn Academy, they now have a winning record of 4-3.
