Baseball Recap: Klamath Union Takes a Loss

Klamath Union's last matchup with Mazama could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's game on Saturday. The Pelicans came up short against the Vikings, falling 9-1. Unfortunately, that's the fourth time they've come up short against the Vikings this season, with their most recent defeat being a 8-6 loss on Saturday.

Klamath Union saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Reese Johnson, who went 1-for-2 with one double and one RBI.

Klamath Union has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost eight of their last nine contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-12 record this season. As for Mazama, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-14.

Coming up, Klamath Union is taking a road trip to challenge Cottage Grove at 12:00 p.m. on Friday. The Pelicans are facing the Lions at the right time seeing as the Lions are stuck on an eight-game losing streak. As for Mazama, they will welcome Henley at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Hornets will roll in looking for their 15th straight victory, something the Vikings surely won't give up without a fight.
