Baseball Recap: Crawfordsville Comes Up Short

Crawfordsville lost against McCutcheon back in May of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Athenians fell just short of the Mavericks by a score of 3-2. The Athenians have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Crawfordsville saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Mason McCarty, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base.

Crawfordsville now has a losing record of 11-12-1. As for McCutcheon, they pushed their record up to 14-11 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home.

Crawfordsville does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for McCutcheon, they will welcome West Lafayette at 2:30 p.m. on Monday. The Mavericks' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Red Devils have averaged an impressive 6.4 runs per game this season.
