Baseball Recap: Seabreeze Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Seabreeze, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Thursday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Matanzas Pirates 4-3. The win continues a trend for the Sandcrabs in their matchups with the Pirates: they've now won six in a row.

Seabreeze saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jacob McKinnon, who scored a run while going 1-for-2. The dominant performance also gave McKinnon a new career-high in RBI (two).

Seabreeze's victory bumped their record up to 13-10. As for Matanzas, they are on an 11-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-20.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Seabreeze will welcome Father Lopez at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Green Wave will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Sandcrabs surely won't give up without a fight. As for Matanzas, they will face off against Beachside at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
