Basketball Game Preview: Skyline Vikings vs. Ider Hornets

The Skyline Vikings just played yesterday, but they'll still head out to face the Ider Hornets at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Skyline will come into the game with an undefeated record on the line.

Skyline proved they can win big on Friday (they won by 52) and on Monday they proved they can win the close ones too. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past Columbia 53-50. While the Vikings didn't have the best season last year (they finished 9-15), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Ider). They blew past Ranburne, posting a 70-30 victory. The Hornets have beaten the Bulldogs the last three times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Bulldogs has come to flipping the script.

Ider's win bumped their record up to 7-4. As for Skyline, their victory bumped their record up to 5-0.

Skyline was taken down by Ider 57-10 in their previous matchup back in February. Can the Vikings avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
