Soccer Recap: Dover Comes Up Short + How To Watch

After flying high against Highland on Monday, Dover came back down to earth. The Dragons fell just short of the Spackenkill Spartans by a score of 3-2 on Wednesday. While losing is never fun, Dover can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York soccer rankings (they are ranked 261st, while Spackenkill are ranked 82nd).

Majd Ibrahim and Brian Mazareigos scored both of Dover's goals, bringing their combined season tally to seven goals.

Dover's loss dropped their record down to 5-3. As for Spackenkill, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 9-1.

Dover has already played their next match, a 2-0 defeat against Onteora on the 3rd. As for Spackenkill, they also wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next contest, a 0-0 draw against Beacon on the 6th.
