Spotswood has gone 9-1 against Harrisonburg recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Trailblazers will venture away from home to square off against the Blue Streaks at 7:00 p.m. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses apiece.

On Tuesday, Spotswood didn't have quite enough to beat East Rockingham and fell 3-2.

Spotswood took East Rockingham into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking three-point loss. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 25-23, 18-25, 22-25, 15-12.

Meanwhile, Harrisonburg came up short against East Rockingham last Tuesday and fell 3-1. While the Blue Streaks didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Eagles 25-20 in the first set.

Harrisonburg started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The final score came out to 20-25, 25-20, 25-14, 25-17.

Spotswood now has a losing record of 8-9. As for Harrisonburg, their loss dropped their record down to 8-6.

Spotswood came out on top in a nail-biter against Harrisonburg when the teams last played back in September, sneaking past 3-2. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Trailblazers since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
