After a string of three wins, Thunderbird's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They took a 17-7 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Deer Valley Skyhawks. While the Titans had to settle for second, they closed the game well in the third quarter, where they outscored the Skyhawks 7-3.
Tori Wefel-Hayes was her usual excellent self, rushing for 89 yards and a touchdown, while also throwing for 152 yards and a touchdown for Deer Valley.
