Softball Recap: Overbrook Wins Going Away Against Palmyra

Overbrook won the last time they faced Palmyra and things went their way on Friday too. The Rams were the clear victors by a 20-10 margin over the Panthers.

The team relied heavily on Gianna Simon, who got on base in four of her five plate appearances with two stolen bases, three runs, and three RBI. Another player making a difference was Danica Maggi, who went 2-for-5 with three RBI and two runs.

Overbrook is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.8 runs over those games. As for Palmyra, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 4-6.

Looking ahead, Overbrook will head out to face off against Glassboro at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Palmyra, they will be playing at home against Haddon Township at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
