Softball Recap: Rock Ridge Takes a Loss

If Rock Ridge was riding high fresh off their 15-2 takedown of Falls Church last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Phoenix came up short against the Potomac Falls Panthers on Tuesday, falling 14-0. The Phoenix have struggled against the Panthers recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost meeting.

Rock Ridge saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Sahasra Abbineni, who went 1-for-2 with one double.

Rock Ridge now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Potomac Falls, the win got them back to even at 5-5.

Looking ahead, Rock Ridge will look to defend their home field on Wednesday against Broad Run at 6:30 p.m. As for Potomac Falls, they will head out to take on Dominion at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Panthers are facing the Titans at the right time seeing as the Titans are stuck on an eight-game losing streak.
