Football Game Preview: Christ's Church Academy vs. Master's Academy

Master's Academy will challenge Christ's Church Academy on the road at Homecoming at 7:00 PM on Friday. Christ's Church Academy will need to watch out since Master's Academy have now posted big point totals in their last five contests.

Last Friday, Master's Academy put the finishing touches on their 5th blowout victory of the season. They were the clear victor by a 49-25 margin over Cambridge Christian. Master's Academy's success was spearheaded by the efforts of freshman Terrance Gibbs, who rushed for 136 yards and 3 touchdowns, and senior Matthew Gillis, who passed for 276 yards and 3 touchdowns. Gillis has been a consistent playmaker for Master's Academy as this was the 5th good game in a row from him.

Meanwhile, Christ's Church Academy were fully in charge, breezing past Bishop Snyder 44-7. Christ's Church Academy were expected to win, but the margin was definitely larger than the state rankings had forecast.

Their wins bumped Christ's Church Academy to 2-3 and Master's Academy to 5-0. Master's Academy's offensive line will need to gear up for a tough test against a Christ's Church Academy defensive front that amassed seven sacks against Bishop Snyder, so we'll see if they are up to the task.
