Basketball Game Preview: Port St. Joe Tiger Sharks vs. Taylor County Bulldogs

The Port St. Joe Tiger Sharks are taking a road trip to face off against the Taylor County Bulldogs at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Port St. Joe is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak.

Last Friday, Port St. Joe came up short against Franklin County and fell 34-26.

The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was KK McNair, who posted ten points in addition to seven rebounds and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Jayla Hill, who had eight points and four steals.

Meanwhile, Taylor County fought the good fight in their overtime contest against Suwannee on Thursday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They took a 39-35 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bulldogs. The loss continues a trend for Taylor County in their matchups with Suwannee: they've now lost seven in a row.

Taylor County now has a losing record at 4-5. As for Port St. Joe, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-7.

Everything came up roses for Port St. Joe against Taylor County in their previous matchup back in January of 2023, as the team secured a 54-13 victory. In that match, Port St. Joe amassed a halftime lead of 40-5, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Monday.
