            Softball Recap: Central Falls Warriors vs. Juanita Sanchez Complex Cavaliers        
        
		
        
        
            Central Falls had lost three straight on the road, but  on Wednesday they dropped their record down to 4-9 to make it four. They fell just short of the Juanita Sanchez Complex Cavaliers by a score of  28-27. Even if the Warriors couldn't come away with the  win, the high-scoring effort was a great turnaround for their hitters, which had struggled int the games prior.

  Chaelys Brito Acevedo was cooking despite her team's loss,   firing off two  home runs, four  stolen bases,  and seven  RBI while going 4-for-6. She is  on a roll when it comes to  stolen bases, as she's  now  snagged  at least one in each of the last three games she's  played. Another player making a difference was  LC Collins, who  got on base  in four of her seven plate appearances with one  home run, four  runs,  and two  stolen bases.
As for Juanita Sanchez Complex, their victory  ended  a  six-game drought at home  and  bumped them up to 4-9. Their hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most  runs they've scored all season.
 On Juanita Sanchez Complex's side,  Josmeily Minier was a standout: she got on base  in five of her six plate appearances with one  home run, six  RBI,  and three  runs. Those  three  runs gave  Minier a new career-high.  Julisa Smith was another key player,  getting on base  in all seven of her plate appearances with four  stolen bases, six  runs,  and one  double.
 Looking ahead, Central Falls will head out to  square off against North Providence  at 4:00  p.m.  on Thursday. The Warriors are facing the Cougars at the right time seeing as the Cougars are stuck on  an  eight-game losing streak. As for Juanita Sanchez Complex, they will square off against Mt. Pleasant at 4:00  p.m.  on Friday. The Kilties have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 18.33  runs per game on average), something the Cavaliers will no doubt try to take advantage of.
