Preview: Rock Hill vs. Guyer
The Rock Hill Blue Hawks will be playing at home against the Guyer Wildcats at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Rock Hill's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for ten straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.
Last Friday, Rock Hill was the victim of a rough 4-1 loss at the hands of Boyd. While losing is never fun, Rock Hill can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 504th, while Boyd is ranked 11th).
Meanwhile, Guyer didn't have quite enough to beat McKinney on Friday and fell 2-1. It was the first time this season that Guyer let down their fans at home.
Rock Hill dropped their record down to 1-10-1 with that defeat, which was their third straight on the road. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only scored one goal over those three games. As for Guyer, they have not been sharp recently as the team has lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-4-2 record this season.
Everything went Rock Hill's way against Guyer in their previous meeting back in March of 2023 as Rock Hill made off with a 3-0 victory. Will Rock Hill repeat their success, or does Guyer have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
