Cloudcroft is 8-2 against Mesilla Valley Christian School since March of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Saturday. The Bears will head out on the road to square off against the SonBlazers at 1:30 p.m. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

On Tuesday, Cloudcroft beat Mescalero Apache 3-1. The Bears haven't had any issues with the Chiefs recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive victory against them.

Cloudcroft had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-27, 25-14, 25-15, 25-18.

Meanwhile, Mesilla Valley Christian School was able to grind out a solid win over Lordsburg on Thursday, taking the game 3-1.

The final score came out to 25-18, 18-25, 25-17, 25-19.

Cloudcroft's victory bumped their record up to 10-8. As for Mesilla Valley Christian School, their win bumped their record up to 14-4.

Cloudcroft might still be hurting after the 3-0 loss they got from Mesilla Valley Christian School in their previous meeting back in November of 2024. Can the Bears avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
