Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Sandy Valley). They secured a 51-45 W over the Mountain View Christian Saints on Saturday. The win was some much needed relief for the Sidewinders as it spelled an end to their nine-game losing streak.

Despite the loss, Mountain View Christian saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Ethan Dobbins posted 27 points. That was a full 60% of Mountain View Christian's points, marking the fourth time in a row he's scored more than a third of the team's points.

Sandy Valley's victory was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-4 and their overall record up to 3-12. As for Mountain View Christian, they are on a 21-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-9.

Sandy Valley didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 56-38 defeat against Laughlin on the 21st. Mountain View Christian has also already played their next match, a 59-22 loss against Indian Springs on the 21st.
