Basketball Game Preview: Cypress Creek Cougars vs. Stratford Spartans

The Cypress Creek Cougars are taking a road trip to face off against the Stratford Spartans at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Cypress Creek is coming into the game hot, having won their last nine games.

Last Tuesday, everything went Cypress Creek's way against Jersey Village as Cypress Creek made off with a 55-35 victory. The score at the end of the third wound up being the final score as the Cougars just coasted through the last quarter.

Meanwhile, Stratford didn't have quite enough to beat Memorial on Tuesday and fell 44-41. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Spartans have suffered against the Mustangs since January 25, 2021.

Cypress Creek pushed their record up to 23-11 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Stratford, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-16.

Cypress Creek beat Stratford 58-47 in their previous matchup back in January. The rematch might be a little tougher for Cypress Creek since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
