Basketball Recap: Maya Kutsmeda Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Palm Beach Gardens

Dwyer hadn't beaten Palm Beach Gardens on the road since January 9, 2023 but that history sure didn't bother them on Monday. The Panthers secured a 50-45 W over the Gators. The win continues a trend for the Panthers in their matchups with the Gators: they've now won three in a row.

Dwyer's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Maya Kutsmeda, who posted 13 points in addition to six rebounds and three blocks. Another player making a difference was Maressa Deitch, who had ten points along with seven boards and four steals.

Despite the loss, Palm Beach Gardens still got an impressive performance from LaTasha Whyte, who dropped a double-double with 18 points and 14 rebounds. The matchup was Whyte's seventh in a row with at least 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kalia LaBrec, who put up nine points in addition to six assists and five boards.
