Mt. Pleasant came tearing into Monday's matchup with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6.3 goals), and they left with even more momentum. Their defense stepped up to hand the Washington Demons a 4-0 shutout. Mt. Pleasant might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five contests by four goals or more this season.

Mt. Pleasant pushed their record up to 6-2 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 42 goals over those five games. As for Washington, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-5.
