Volleyball Recap: Sartell-St. Stephen Wins Going Away Against Detroit Lakes

Sartell-St. Stephen lost to Detroit Lakes back in September of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Tuesday. The Sabres put the hurt on the Lakers with a sharp 3-0 victory.

While Sartell-St. Stephen won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. The final score came out to 25-17, 27-25, 25-21.

Olivia Terhune paced Sartell-St. Stephen's offense, picking up 17 kills. Terhune got some help from Kate Thompson and her 32 assists. Lilly Beckstrom and Sydney Frieler kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with three aces apiece.

Sartell-St. Stephen's win bumped their record up to 17-12. As for Detroit Lakes, they have been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last ten contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-15 record this season.

As of now, neither Sartell-St. Stephen nor Detroit Lakes have any future games scheduled.
