Baseball Recap: Augusta Comes Up Short

If Augusta was riding high fresh off their 10-0 takedown of Owen-Withee on Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Beavers came up short against the Blair-Taylor Wildcats on Friday, falling 14-2. The defeat continues a trend for the Beavers in their meetings with the Wildcats: they've now lost five in a row.

Augusta saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Owen Lee, who went 1-for-2 with one run and one RBI.

Augusta's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Blair-Taylor, they now have a winning record of 2-1-1.

Coming up, Augusta will head out to challenge Alma Center Lincoln at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Blair-Taylor, they will be playing at home against Stanley-Boyd at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
