Soccer Game Preview: Jasper vs. Silsbee

The Jasper Bulldogs will head out on the road to face off against the Silsbee Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Jasper will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.

Jasper's defense heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They came out on top against Hardin-Jefferson by a score of 2-0. Given the Bulldogs' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 321st, while the Hawks are ranked 648th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Silsbee). They walked away with a 3-1 win over Vidor on Tuesday. The team's explosion on offense also rewarded the Tigers with their most commanding win of the season.

Jasper pushed their record up to 8-2-1 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 12 goals over those three games. As for Silsbee, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-6-1.
