After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Spencer, Kendrick was happy to have turned things around on Friday. Their defense stepped up to hand the Jordan Red Jackets a 40-0 shutout. That looming 40-0 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Cherokees yet this season.

Kendrick now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Jordan, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-7.

Kendrick and Jordan will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next contests. The next time the Cherokees see the field they'll take on Columbus at 7:00 p.m. on the 17th. As for Jordan, their break will end when they face Hardaway at 7:00 p.m. on the 16th.
