Volleyball Recap: Fennville Triumphs + How To Watch

After losing to Black River the last time they met, Fennville decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Blackhawks came out on top against the Rats by a score of 3-1 on Tuesday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Blackhawks.

Fennville had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 26-28, 25-22, 25-17, 25-17.

Atiyah Chambers paced Fennville's offense, picking up 12 kills. Chambers got some help from MacKenzie McIlwain and her 25 assists. Finally, Chambers was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high five blocks.

Fennville's victory bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Black River, they now have a losing record of 2-3.

Coincidentally, Fennville and Black River will both be playing Galesburg-Augusta the next time they take the court. The Blackhawks will host the Rams at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, while the Rats will host them at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
