Preview: Seneca Red Hawks vs. Doss Dragons
Seneca is 1-8 against Doss since December of 2014 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Seneca Red Hawks will head out on the road to challenge the Doss Dragons at 6:00 p.m. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Seneca comes in on seven and Doss on ten.
Last Friday, everything went Seneca's way against Jeffersontown as Seneca made off with a 52-27 win.
It was another big night for Arionna Tunstall, who dropped a double-double on 24 points and 14 rebounds. She is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down eight or more in the last 15 games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Timiah Harlan, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 11 rebounds.
Meanwhile, Doss didn't have too much trouble with Western at home on Thursday as they won 49-34.
Seneca's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-10. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.5 points per game. As for Doss, their victory bumped their record up to 12-7.
Seneca couldn't quite finish off Doss in their previous matchup back in January of 2022 and fell 38-36. Can Seneca avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
