Soccer Recap: Davenport North Victorious

Davenport North kept a clean sheet against Reavis on Friday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Rams, sneaking past 1-0. The final result isn't all the surprising considering Davenport North's considerable advantage in MaxPreps' soccer rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 96th in Iowa, while Reavis are ranked 296th in Illinois).

Davenport North is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a massive bump to their 5-5-2 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 19 goals over those six matchups. As for Reavis, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-11.

Looking ahead, Davenport North will venture away from home to square off against North Scott at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Reavis, they will square off against Dunlap at 9:45 a.m. on Saturday.
