Preview: W D Mohammed Caliphs vs. Bowdon Red Devils
Having just played yesterday, the W D Mohammed Caliphs will get right back to it and host the Bowdon Red Devils at 5:30 p.m. on January 23rd. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Georgia (W D Mohammed is ranked 520th, while Bowdon is ranked 516th).
W D Mohammed had to endure a seven-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They breezed by Fulton Leadership Academy at home to the tune of 72-35. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory W D Mohammed has posted since December 2, 2023.
Meanwhile, Bowdon ended up a good deal behind Rockmart on Saturday and lost 69-52. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Bowdon in their matchups with Rockmart: they've now lost six in a row.
W D Mohammed's win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-10. As for Bowdon, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-14.
W D Mohammed was able to grind out a solid victory over Bowdon in their previous matchup back in February of 2023, winning 73-61. Will W D Mohammed repeat their success, or does Bowdon have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
