Baseball Game Preview: Union Mine Diamondbacks vs. Calaveras Red Hawks

The Union Mine Diamondbacks will head out to take on the Calaveras Red Hawks at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.

On Monday, Union Mine didn't have quite enough to beat Bret Harte and fell 5-4. The Diamondbacks have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Union Mine saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ian Enders, who scored a run while going 1-for-2. That run was Enders' first of the season.

Meanwhile, Calaveras was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 10-3 to Amador.

Calaveras' defeat dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Union Mine, they now have a losing record of 2-3.

Union Mine couldn't quite finish off Calaveras when the teams last played back in March of 2022 and fell 5-3. Can Union Mine avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
