There's no place like home for Aurora West College Prep Academy, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Wednesday. They breezed past the Nederland Panthers to the tune of 54-23 on Thursday. That 31 point margin sets a new team best for the Spartans this season.

Several Panthers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Cedar Shupe, who posted three points and ten boards. The dominant performance gave Shupe a new career-high in rebounds. Drew Hertzfeld was another key player, putting up four points.

Aurora West College Prep Academy's win bumped their record up to 3-15. As for Nederland, they dropped their record down to 1-16 with the loss, which was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Aurora West College Prep Academy will venture away from home to challenge Twin Peaks Classical Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Nederland, they are taking a road trip to face off against Two Roads Charter School at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
