Soccer Game Preview: Boyd Anderson vs. Taravella

Boyd Anderson hasn't had much luck against Taravella recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Boyd Anderson Cobras will host the Taravella Trojans at 7:00 p.m. Taravella took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Boyd Anderson, who comes in off a win.

Boyd Anderson's defense heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Wednesday. They blew past Miramar 8-0. Given the Cobras' advantage in MaxPreps' Florida soccer rankings (they are ranked 213th, while the Patriots are ranked 584th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Boyd Anderson's offense was hitting Miramar from everywhere, as five different players booted in a goal. Jardany Blanc led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by himself.

Meanwhile, Taravella managed to keep up with Cypress Bay until halftime on Monday, but things quickly went downhill from there. Taravella lost 3-0 to Cypress Bay. The shutout was out of character for the Trojans seeing as the last time the team failed to score was back in December of 2024.

Boyd Anderson has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 9-2-3 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 18 goals over those six matches. As for Taravella, they dropped their record down to 2-7 with the defeat, which was their sixth straight on the road.

Boyd Anderson might still be hurting after the 5-1 loss they got from Taravella when the teams last played back in November of 2019. Can Boyd Anderson avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
